I weigh 190lb and the stock 5.5nm spring was just way too soft. I went straight to he Extra Firm 7.7nm spring and it felt a lot better on dive and big hits, but it chattered over the small stuff. You really had to be over the front end with the Extra Firm, I didn't like it. So I bought the Firm spring 6.5nm and it was the best of both worlds. With the right spring you can actually start to feel the low speed comp. adjustments. I still have both the Firm and Extra Firm and they are both Titanium. If you want I'll sell them to you at my cost, $150/ea or $250 for both.
its low speed, and the big wigs of Marzocchi usa told me not to add more than 6 clicks in from full open (turn gold nob full left or open, and then only add 6 clicks). The reason they say is any more will force more oil over the high speed shim stack and cause the fork to start "spiking" on the compression stroke. Apparently they have fixed this with a new valve setup for 2012 and they were talking about alowing people to send in their 2010/2011 forks to have the new valve setup installed. Do not try heavier oils, it makes it feel like crap (I know from experience). How much do you weigh?
2011 codes, must be the same as urs haha. i wound the pad contact adjust out too far and the hose popped of the lever and it broke some plastic bit inside. so im running my old elixr r's while im waiting for a warranty lever
